exercise help and power plate advice

hello,
I need some help, and it seems like there are quite a few experts on here, so I'll give it a try!
I had a knee injury on each knee a few years ago (cross ligaments), and have always had a bad back, so I am quite careful with the type of exercise I do.
I am trying to lose weight for my upcoming wedding, the idea is to be back to the weight I had before my knee injuries. I have been doing work with my physio all of last year, and am now strong enough to go back to my normal routine. So since January I do 2 sessions a week of weight lifting / swiss ball exercises / lunges etc, 1 session of power walk a week, and 1 session a week of Zumba, which I love.
I don't want to do more than 1 zumba a week, as I have a general problem of loss of control and "getting in the groove", which is when I get injured - I am hypermobile.
However, I am also getting married in 10 weeks, and still have 8 pounds to lose... I have only lost 4 pounds since Jan, despite being rather careful with my calories intake. So I need to find a way to step up the loss.
I was considering keeping the Zumba and power walk, but switching the swiss ball / weight lifting to 2 sessions a week of power plate training. I found a place where it is instructor-led witha max of 4 per class, so I'd have someone to check that I have the right positions.
So I guess my question is: will that do the trick? will the power plate help me get there faster, but still safely?
thanks in advance for your help!!!

I love the spin classes! They burn a hell of a lot of calories and seem to be pretty easy on my knees.0
