Ok i am just a lil confused on what i just read in the pamphlet of Beachbody Nutrition Guide....now My Fitness Pal says the more you burn the more you can eat which your intake minus the exercise equals what your body is running on but then Beachbody Nutrition Guide says " If you eat fewer calories than you burn you burn excess stored fat.....so in that being sad of course i want to burn excess stored stubborn fat but if i burn more than i eat wont that cause my body to go into starvation mode? Can anyone shed some truth light on this please......

I wish I could answer your question. Bumping this.

I have always had the beachbody nutrition guide outlook on weight loss. The more you cut out, the more you will lose. It isn't until recently that I have been hearing about eating your exercise calories.

The way I understand it is this: MFP already has the calorie deficit built into your calorie goal based on what you entered when you set up your profile. When you exercise you are already at a deficit so to prevent your body from going into "starvation" mode (some don't believe in "starvation" mode) you do need to eat back those exercise calories or at least some of them. Hope this helps
  • Ok thank you both for responding...its so dorn confusing but yes sometimes I do eat back most of them to hit at least 1940 for my goal cause I think its built in also...in order to lose that pound a week
