I have it and love it. I just made Jasmine rice cooked in coconut milk Sunday night. Never had a problem with it and have had it for a few years.0

I have an El Cheapo from Wal Mart that works great. Well, as long as I take the "nonstick pot" out of the machine as soon as it is done cooking. If I don't it gets a bit toasty on the bottom.0

Great, thanks you guys. I got it on sale for 25.00. He's gonna love this thing. Can you make like zataran's or boxed rice thingies in it?0

I have owned a lot of rice cookers in my life. One that worked great. Most of the others took up space, rice stuck to the inside, over cooked, undercooked, etc.
Have the best success with a teflon coated pot. 1 part rice, 2 parts water.
No need to buy something unique that you need to store to make rice.0 -
Might sound goofy, but years ago someone showed me how they cook rice and it worked so good, I've done it ever since and haven't had a bad pot of rice yet. No matter the size of the pot, I add rice to my first knuckle and water to the top of my second knuckle.
It works for me and it's cheap. Plus I like the way the ratio always works out in a small saucepan or a big one.
Enjoy!0 -
