Lady Question.

I don't usually ask "lady questions" out in the forums like this, but I am really curious about something. Does anyone besides me get extremely bloated and PMS-ish during ovulation? My experience has been that my mid-cycle symptoms are worse than PMS. None of my friends go through this. Someone on birth control isn't going to experience it, either, so that eliminates many from being able to answer.

I was thinking something strange was happening to me since I have had more than one surgery on my ovaries. Or I could simply be perfectly normal.

I don't experience that, but I have heard of it. Holy cow, that was twenty years ago, let's see what I can remember. I think it was basically described as displaced PMS. I don't know if doctors had come up with a name for it or anything at the time, but one woman had it, and a few older, wiser women had helped her figure out what was happening. I think she did discuss it with her doctor.

I've been taking some herbs to increase fertility because I want to conceive twins. Since I've been taking them I've had some moderate pain when I ovulate, but I haven't really noticed any bloating or anything else. It has been a lot harder to lose weight since I've been taking them though. :(

    "Displaced" PMS sounds about right....

I usually have pain during ovulation, also. Sometimes it is mild and other times, more intense. It can last for 3-4 days sometimes. I'm actually surprised my ovaries still function at all after what they've been through.
