I've heard that when you lose weight the first to go is butt and boobs. I am a 36DD and I hate my big boobs. What are good exercises to make them smaller? They get in the way so so much.

I wish big boobs were a problem for me, but that was never meant to be. Anyways, I heard that chest workouts like, dips, pushups, barbell work etc helps reduces breast adipose tissue.0

Oh man! I wish I had that problem! lol :ohwell:0

People have told me there isn't really a way to spot reduce because I was wondering about my stomach so I don't think there are really ways to make them go smaller, but those will probably help. Mine have gotten smaller just from weight loss (one of the first things I've seen reduce, and I hate it!)0 -
Running might help.....0

Be proud of the boobs! When they are gone you will feel like a part of you is missing!0

I just wish mine would stand up on their own with out wearing various contraptions to keep them from hitting the ground! lol 38DD in the house!0

I had a reduction 14 months ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. I went from a 44H to 42 C. I am soooo much happier. I can breath, and move like a normal person!0
-
No you don't!! That was the first thing to leave me. I was a 36 DD now I'm in a D, but they look like a C. I do a lot of walking for exercise and that was the first thing to go.0
-
I'm a 36DD too...and no matter WHAT I do for workouts, they stay exactly the same! Unfortunately, for some of us girls, the boobs don't lose anything. Get a good sports bra!! And good luck0

I definitely am not going to miss these things once they're gone. I developed early and was teased mercifully for that. I want to wear cute tops and button downs without any pulling. I'd love to wear strapless dresses and tops without having to wear a long-line bra.
Anywho, I've been on this journey since January 3. I've lost several inches from my bust as well as my back (as well as all over my body). I started off wearing 38G and I'm now in a 36DDD. If I can get into a 34C, that will be GOLDEN.0 -
Hi and girl do i know where you are coming from! i had to take hormone replacement and they just grew! But do not fear as the weight is coming off so is the bra size dropping !!! Best wishes!0

Even at my skinniest(142lbs) I was still a 38DDD no matter how much I lost it was still there, sorry to say it doesn't always go from there!
I had a reduction from a 40H down to a 40 DD, best thing I have EVER done!0 -
from someone who didnt get to a "B" cup til after baby #3.... I have NO SYMPATHY... I am wearing a "C" only because of the style ( demi) but really need to be in a "B" for everything else....
I know my boobs will be the 1st to go...
my grandma lost over 100 lbs and was left with nothing but flat skin and nipples... this is one of my biggest fears....0 -
I totally understand where you're coming from! I've always been a 32DD/E, size 10/12 and wanted to lose the boobs to make me look proportional. At my slimmest I dropped to just below a size 8 but ended up looking like a porn star because the boobs didn't shift at all! The hips, the legs, the butt, the stomach, basically, everything else shrank BUT the boobs.
Moral of the story - not everyone will lose weight in the same places so I've just learned to work with what I have as clearly mine are determined to stay. I try to avoid losing any weight around my hips because at least this way I'll have some sort of an hour-glass figure.0 -
I've lost 88 lbs over the last year, starting out with a 42DDD. I also wanted my boobs to get smaller, I've seen some improvement, but not what I thought I would. I'm now down to a 34DD. The weird thing is I used to be a 34 full C before gaining weight. Sorry to tell you, maybe you will have better luck than me. They do look better though.0

Try boxing!!! They will flatten!0

I think its different for everyone.. i'm not so sure i believe in that whole 'cant spot reduce' thing. i mean.. if youre just working out your legs ... or arms or .. you know? i really don't want my boobs or *kitten* to go down.. they're kind of already nonexistant.. ****e. i need to go to work.0

Ha! Ha! Ha! I've never had orange juice shoot out of my nose before! I'm crying just a bit...0 -

what?0 -
Yep they are the one place I didn't lose weight. I get more out of proportion the more I lose. Doing weights has dropped me from a GG to a G but thats it.0

I went from a full C to a B. I was sad at first but now I realize this has opened up a whole new world of tops for me. I can wear stuff that is more fitted and now that a strapless bra is sufficient I can wear more of those tops that would otherwise show bra straps. I would never have wanted to lose up top but now that I have, I don't mind it!0

I went from a C to an E when I started university,currently at 32 DD can't wait until I'm a C again,I was happy with that size.0
-
Having been an A cup most of my life I'm now a 38DD-E and that's the only thing I (and my boyfriend!) don't want to lose! I'm noticing slippage, so I may have gone down a size0
-
I was actually going to start this topic earlier! I started worrying that my boobs will shrink once I start losing weight. My friends that have all lost significant amounts of weight have basically flaps of skin with nipples on their chests! ugh! I know everyones body is different, but I'm terrified! I would honestly rather stay at this weight/only lose a portion of my goal weight if it meant I got to keep my boobs and butt0
-
When I started losing weight I was also keen to shift some from up top - I can't wear any kind of strappy top because of the scaffolding underneath lol. Anyway, for ages it came off everywhere else - thighs, stomach, hips, chin, even fingers! - but the boobs didn't move. FINALLY, the last couple of pounds before hitting my target weight came off the top, and when they settle I might have gone from a DD to a C.
Don't give up hope!0 -
Cardio cardio cardio, running. Then they'll shrink. I was a 44E, I'm now a 36DD and I'm not even under 200 yet. I doubt I'll ever be flat but I'd like to be AA and wear really cute tops. I imagine they'll shrink to a C if I'm lucky0

Mine came off pretty evenly with my weight. I was 30E on a 5ft frame at 112lbs now 30 D with 98lbs. I feel like I 'fit' more now and can wear pretty summery tops without looking like I am smuggling 2 space hoppers!
I eat a lot, but a very low fat diet and do a very even mix of free weights and cardio and that worked for me (not that i was trying to loose them)
If you are on any kind of birth control pill that always made mine huge!. If you want to drop a size you could try changing that too.
best of luck xxx0 -
I am a 30G so I TOTALLY know where you are coming from! I hate them, but nothing I do ever makes them smaller. They were huge even when I weighed under 8 stone.
Oh, and I suppose I should be happy that they have gone down a size from a 30H, but frankly that was just insane. I have a tiny frame. I guess if what is filling them up is fat then they shrink as you do, but mine have absolutely no fat in them, they are all breast tissue.0 -

I have always been overly well endowed. In high school I was 113 lbs. 5'4 with a 34D bra. When pregnant they ballooned to 36H and after my first two did go back to a D eventually. My last two children were a decade later and 21 months apart and I only went down to a 34F until...YESTERDAY! I noticed that my bra was gapping a lot at the top I was so excited I did a little happy dance...my bra is to big. ..my bra is too big hooray!! I will try to postpone buying new ones as long as possible to make sure that I get a good fit close to my goal weight. I always spend a fair amount on good bra's they are worth it.
As for exercises, breasts are not made of some magical fat or anything else so the rules apply to them as well. Eat well, get your 30 min. (minimum) of cardio 6-7 days a week and lift weights. I don't mean 5 lb. ones either! I do chest presses with 20 lb. dumb bells close to upping it to 25, on an incline bench plus several other upper body lifts. You want to build the muscle underneath the breast tissue to support and perk things up.
Good Luck!0
