I found it so easy to pass time on my stationary bike by turning on my favorite electro-rock radio station and then use my handle bars as my bongo drums! haha

When I did this my heart rate went up. When I stopped playing the "drums" my HR went back down a bit. And then once again when I played the "drums" on my handle bars, my HR went back up... Does this really help? It feels like im doing nothing different... But moving my arms does make a difference??

    Carrie,
I have a stationary recumbent bike. When I use it, I use light weights for some upper body work as well. My heart rate increases when I add the upper body movement. My thinking is the more I ask my body to do, the more calories I burn.

Anything you do repetitively that raises your HR is a good thing. Bang on the drums all day long!

Between sets and reps on the weight training, I march in place, which keeps my HR up. I look kinda funny, but it's useful.

:embarassed: I have no eyebrows. It's sortof a family trait. When I was 17 I plucked all the little blonde hairs praying they'd grow back brown and most did but sometimes in pictures it still looks like I don't have any. I"m glad ya like 'em though  And thanks for the compliments :blushing:

Let me rephrase that.. NOW I have eyebrows  You know how you're hair seems darker when it's wet? I can't draw on eyebrows so I just use clear mascara sometimes to make what is there look darker.
