Curious about the answers here... I "liked" P90X on Facebook and soon after got a message from somebody offering to be my coach. I immediately assumed he was trying to sell me something and ignored the message. But now I realize maybe that wasn't the case?
Wondering if it's a good idea to get a coach.0 -
I am sure you will get hit up allot after this post!! Lol, I would choose someone who has actually done the p90x program and is willing to communicate allot with you! P90x, like any beachbody program takes some learning to do!
Good luck!0 -
When you register at teambeachbody.com you get assigned a random coach unless you know of one that you specifically want to request.
When I first signed up my coach was not very helpful. Others I've met on the messages boards have had mixed reviews about their coaches. I found a great coach through the boards and changed. Tons of resources on those boards with people more than willing to help answer any and all questions. No way I'd have completed one round without that support and now I'm finishing up round 4.
The boards are free to use, just sign up.
Honestly, if you get assigned a random coach it's no big deal. Where having the right coach is important is when someone decides that they want to be a coach as well. That's when you needs to choose the right person. If you're looking for help with the program, the message boards are the best place i've found.0 -
that may be the case for many, they want your buisness! hopefully you all can find someone that is willing to help you along the whole way!0

I love my coach. She found me - I needed running assistance and she offered, turned out being a BB Coach was something that she just happened to do too. I'm a "coach" on BB but that is only for discounts, I'm not skilled enough to offer to help someone. I've been solicited many times by other BB people to offer to be my coach, I'm happy with it. I'd say read the boards and see who gives you good information on the BB website.0

Normally when you join the teambeachbody.com website, they'll automatically assign you a coach, but I had a friend who had a coach that he liked and he knew I'd like her, too, so I requested she be my coach.
And the coach should not be any cost to you (unless you buy like shakeology through them or something, but the majority of that money goes to beachbody and they only get a small percentage of it). If they try to charge you, try to report them to beachbody somehow and get a new coach ASAP, because they shouldn't do that.0
