I was wondering if there is a way to calculate calories burned based on what you are doing, and your weight etc...

yup just go to the excersise tab.. then type in the excersise you did and for how long and it will calculate it for you (:0

or
exercise tab / database then enter you weight and what you did with the drop down and for how long0 -
I would suggest to get a decend HRM (i mean not too expensive one)...
I recently got Timex HRM and I loved it...0 -
The most accurate way is to buy a heart rate monitor with chest strap. The database here will calculate for you, but it might not be accurate. Example: one of my workouts last week, I burned 752 cals according to my heartrate monitor. If I had entered what MFP gave me, it would have only calculated as 400-ish cals.0

I have found the exact opposite problem, with MFP OVER calculating the calories I burned. A decent HRM is definitively the way to go!!0

Ya, my problem is I want to be more exact then what it shows in the database here... and being larger I burn different then others... So does the HRM tell u what u burned as well?0
