Hi-

I usually have dinner around 6pm and have a snack around 7pm...air popped popcorn, sugary frozen pops and/or dark chocolate. I usually go to bed around 9pm. What snacks do you eat after dinner and do you still lose weight? Or do you have snacks? Just curious!

I almost always have a snack in the evening, sometimes just a little piece of chocolate, sometimes a lot more, depends on how hungry I am! But I really try to avoid/minimize eating after dinner.

    Good luck.

I don't have snacks Every night but when I want a treat or I still have the calories (and I usually don't workout til after 9). I LOVE weight watchers fruit bars or a sugar free Jello cup, only 10 calories :) And I am still losing weight...a little more slowly now due to my ACL tear but still losing!! I think popcorn is a wonderful snack..you can try jazzin it up by adding a a few ingredients such as mini chocolate chips and Life cinnamon squares. Its a recipe I got from my biggest loser cookbook and it is so good :)

My family would not do well without an after dinner treat (most nights). We try and keep it light most days. OR a very small serving of something wonderful
  • Oh Gosh! I am a snack-a-holic. In fact, some days I will skip a meal just so I can snack. It's terrible. I snack on things like celery, fruit/nut/seed mixes, Sensible Portions (a brand that Walmart carries) has great snacks, salsa and crackers...I suppose if you need healthy and non healthy ideas, my food diary is where it's all listed. LOL I also like yogurts and only fruit sparingly. I'd prefer to waste my daily sugar limits on....other things. I do maintain a pretty healthy diet and I generally toss in a 3rd work out daily just so I can mildly indulge myself with chocolate. I am probably not the best example for anyone trying to live strictly on healthy foods but I'm still losing weight and I exercise hard so that I can eat my 'extras'.

i work out late and always have a nighttime snack. I like protein shakes, fiber one bars, or a string cheese and deli meat. I have found that if my snack is protein packed i sleep better.

DH and I always have dessert. Ice cream cone (115 calories), skinny cow fudge bars (100 calories), skinny cow ice cream sandwich (150 calories.) We are both still losing weight without an issue.

I have been losing weight and I almost have a dessert. I have a major sweet tooth. Today I bought the skinny cow chocolate truffle bars (100 calories) and I loved it~ I have been eating healthy but always leave room for my dessert. My other favorites are sugar free pudding, fruit with sugar free chocolate syrup, kroger no sugar added reduced fat rocky road ice cream. I eat it around 9 pm but I dont go to bed till like midnight. I also bought vitamuffins to try out (dark chocolate).

Add me as a friend :-)

I try to save enough calories during the day to have a chocolate biscuit (50 cal) with a cup of tea, if I've had a healthy day I'll have two biscuits. Makes me feel like I'm not on a diet.
