I'd say yes if you've listed your lifestyle as 'sedenetary'. I would only log half of the hours, though, as heavy duty cleaning.

for the question would be did I sweat and get my heart rate up? Doing something like that can be very physical, and would burn calories!

Honestly, if you worked up a sweat and were sweating then you definately burned something. I agree with the 1st post, I would track it as cleaning and only record 1/2 of it.

You need a heart rate monitor to tell you how many calories you burned for this type of thing :)

I record half of heavy cleaning or laborious work.

When I worked in a meat packaging plant I worked so hard that I dropped 15 lbs in the first couple months working there with ZERO change in my diet. It was not only burning calories it was building muscle, 7-10 lb meats lifted continuously through 8 hours will do that.

Was it heavy, wood, metal plastic depends what it was made of I have put the plastic ones together I'd say no. If you are actually building from the ground up out of wood I would say maybe half the time lifting and toting wood is heavy if its a metal shed and you built the flooring I"d say about 2 hrs. We it small or big that matters also.
