Thinking of trying Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

I've seen SO many people on here rave about this workout DVD & really want to give it a shot. But I'm a bit concerned on a few things..
I've never done exercise before I started going to the gym. I've only been 3 times so I'm pretty damn unhealthy. I get tired walking up the stairs. Will this be too hard for me to jump into?
If I do find it too hard to do every day, if I did it every other day & did regular cardio or went to the gym on the off days, will I still get good results?
I'm not overweight, my BMI is some what in the middle, I'm just really jiggly in all the wrong places. What areas will it help tone up?
Also, I've seen two version. One with a black case, one with a blue case. Which one have you all been using??
Sorry if I sound a total idiot, any advice or anything for this DVD will be greatly appreciated.

I started about a week ago. And I'm very unfit myself. There is a modified version for people like us. I do that and still struggle with it, but I can see a difference in my stamina already. I was very sore for the first 4-5 days, but not so much anymore. I don't walk like I just..you know what...in my pants, lol. And I can lift my kids up too now, so it definitely does get a bit easier. Give it a try, but don't get annoyed that you don't do as well as the girls there. Just take your time to do the exercise properly and you will get there.
Saying all that, I have few more days before I start level 2 and it will be a different story, lol0 -
I'm almost done with the 30 days, thiught it has taken me over 40! Well worth it. There is still stuff I can't do, but the difference in ability from start to now is amazing! As long as you are trying, that is what counts!0

It's definitely worth a try. Put it on everyday and just do the very best you can with it. Eventually you will get really comfortable with Level 1 and can then move to Level 2, and then 3. I noticed a huge difference in my strength within the first couple of days. This has helped to tone up my arms, legs and abs even though I don't do it everyday. I haven't started level 3 yet because I find level 2 very challenging. Hopefully soon I will move on. Give it a try though.0

Here are the facts:
- On my first day I was completely out of shape and had to modify the entire workout.
- Now I am getting ready to start my second round of 30 days.
- Simply put, this workout is amazing and will GET you into shape.
- YES, the 30 Day Shred is for you.0 -
Thankyou for all the replies!
I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying it, it seems so worth it. Hopefully I get through it, I know 20 pounds in one month is probably a high expectation, but at least it should get me more toned than what I am!0 -
I have a lot of exercise dvd's that I bought but stopped doing 5-10 minutes into the workout because I decided it was too hard. The first time I did the Shred, I wanted to stop before I was finished with the warmup because the jumping jacks felt too difficult. I didn't stop because I had started with a challenge group and didn't want to go back to the group and admit to quitting. I pushed through that first day, being more winded than I had ever been before. When I finished the workout, I lay on the floor for 2 hours unable to move. I couldn't pick up my baby for the rest of the day. I kept going the next day and the next. My legs were so sore that I couldn't go up and down stairs for about 3 days. Then the soreness passed. I was amazed at how my stamina improved. I discovered that I am stronger than I thought. If you get it, stick with it!:flowerforyou:0

This is probably one of the best DVDs I've ever tried. This DVD jump started my weight loss journey. I started at 160lb and I'm quite short so that's a lot for me to carry. First 10 days were horrible...everything hurt....but I continued and the payout is amazing.
I've blogged my Shred journey, maybe it'll motivate you? Hehe, I have photos!

Don't think, do! It's fun, challenging, only 20 mins and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish. I say go for it. You'll surprise yourself.0

I've seen two versions of the 30 Day Shred, one in a blue case, one in a black case. Which one have you been using? Or am I being a total idiot & they're the same..0
