Weight Loss & Medication

Anyone on a medication that makes you gain weight or not able to lose?

I started on an SSRI last summer and gained almost 30 lbs in 3 months and since then I'll lose 2 lbs and then gain 2 lbs. I am gaining muscle which I can tell but my measurements and weight have not changed.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and overcame it without burning yourself out.

Thanks in advance. :)

This link has a lot of good info. There was one person on there (don't remember her name) but she seemed to really know her stuff. And I know some meds do cause weigth gain, or make it hard to lose.....I switched to Welbutrim a couple of weeks ago, and so far I don't think I've noticed anything (haven't weighed myself in awhile).

My doctor put me on wellbutrin XL also in addition to my other med but it hasn't helped me lose anything. I guess not gaining anymore is a good thing but I just want to get back to how I was last summer.

I took SSRI too, but they suppressed my appetite so I lost a few pounds, but nothing extraordinary. The weird thing with SSRI is that you don't know how it will affect your weight balance, depends on people...
