What happens to today's cals if you get sick and puke?

When I'm sick I usually don't count calories. I do, usually, log the food, but that's more as a note to myself seeing what/when I've eaten.
I've also found that when I am recovering from being sick, I crave carbs and fats, and will often lose weight while gorging on homemade bread and real butter, but once I'm not sick anymore I can't eat that stuff or I balloon up. haha
As far as scientifically what happens to the calories... I'm not sure. I'm sure some of them have been incorporated into the body, but obviously food that isn't digested won't count. I don't know how you'd actually figure it out though.0 -
