Hey All!

I'm looking for a heart rate monitor watch. I had no idea how many different types there would be. Please, if you have one you like, recommend it to me. Please be as specific as possible, I am not very gadget savvy. Thanks so much for your help!! :)

I have the Timex IronMan one. HRM chest-strap and watch. It's pretty good.

I know Polar makes some good ones that are reasonable as well. F4 or F6. I think.

If you want GPS etc, I've heard Garmin are good for that.

My understanding is the chest-strap HRMS are the most accurate.

    good luck

Sally (my wife) has a polar F4 and she thinks that is good. Do not get one without a chest strap... you have to touch the watch to get a reading (Like the type on gym equipment)

Polar FT4 is my weapon of choice, does a great job and doesn't cost the earth either. Any decent HRM will come with a watch and a chest strap, avoid the ones that don't!

I have the Polar FT7. If you get your heart rate tested it's great because you can put in your base level and your threshold level. Then it tells you when you're burning fat vs. sugar AND how many calories you've burned during your workout which is very handy.

I have a Polar FT7 and I love it. I wear it all day and you never realize how many calories you burn throughout the day. Defiantely choose one with a chest strap, so you dont have to worry about putting your fingers on the watch all day you will love it!!!!!
