Today was our timed run for bootcamp. We get timed at 30 minutes to see how far we can go. We were at the park today and the loop we ran is 1 mile with a big hill. I managed to go around 3 times in under 34 minutes. The hill and humidty is a killer. Have good run today everyone.

TGIF!!
I ran my 5 miles last night but skipped the pilates - I am still sore from two days of strength training.
***** Let's give a BIG Shoutout to our Friend Angie (AReay) who is running 31 miles this weekend******
YOU GO GIRL!!!
That is longer than my commute to work! :noway:0 -
Today is a rest day for me. Still recovering from the 10.7k yesterday. Amazing how much difference a little faster pace can make. Ussually I can run that distance no problem, but I am much more sore today. I shaved about 6 minutes off my time though. Hope everyone has good runs today.0

I haven't been around for a while. The week of July 4, my 12 year old daughter and I went to North Dakota to participate on a wagon train re-enactment. Yep, pioneer clothes and everything. The first night, they announced that every year, a few people walk the whole way. We decided to give it a shot, and we did it!! It was almost 80 miles (over Mon-Sat), in heat, ticks, blisters, and everything you can imagine. It took a little bit to recover, but I managed 5 miles on the treadmill this morning. Yea!

Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to do only weights and stretching because I don't want to overdo it since tomorrow I have to run 14 miles for the first time! We planned out our run and mapmyrun, so we're all ready to go.
Have a great day everybody! Happy Friday!:glasses:0 -

Yeah I figured out that it was my socks! Oh well you live and learn right?0 -
Angie I will be thinking of you!! Good luck!
Way to go Sherri!
I put in 5.5 miles of interval training on the treadmill today. The humidity and heat are way too much for me to run outside for the next few days!! I feel good though I ran 15% incline at 5mph all the way up to 8mph at 2% incline (intervals) it was a good workout for me. I was huffin and puffin so I know I was working it!! Plus, I lost a pound today! Bonus!!!
Hope everyone manages to get a run in today!0 -
So today was a light day for me --
6.5 miles on the bike
1.0 mile (no s) on the treadmill
Always -- 20 min or so of functional strength training
Question if anyone has time - I had a splurge of Pizza Hut last night (3 slices!! Youch) but, worked hard on my run -- 2LBs on the scale (I shouldn't have stepped on Tuesday is normally my weight in date) but really !! 2 LB heavier, craziness. Anyone had this happen to them? I worked hard for those 2 lbs  I don't want it to be where I can't splurge without a dreaded weight gain.. what gives?!?!0 -

Are you getting enough water in???
When I splurge (like tonight) I do a diluted shot of apple cider vinegar. Helps me keep my weight down, but is truly sooooooooo nasty!! :sick:0 -
I thought maybe that was what the prob was too... I will drink mucho water tomorrow and some more before I go to bed.
Never had that happen before so I was like what..!
Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and must remember (drink water) AND don't step on the scale all the time!! Right - like I won't weight myself tomorrow!! haha.
Thanks!0 -

Good morning everyone.
Visiting parents, but too hot to run, even at 5AM. They have some curvy trails here also I would love to try, but it is 85-90 at night here right now and as soon as the sun is awake, bam, over 100 it goes. I like the heat, but that is too much even for me.
So I swam some laps this morning about 30 minutes and did some chin ups to the diving board. Only way I can do a chin up.
Does going to the casinos and playing craps or poker burn calories?
I guess if I win I will jump up and down.!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!0 -
Afternoon :flowerforyou:
