I've been looking at a Timex and then came across this one...and it doesn't require a chest belt!!!!!

I have been using it for a little while now and it seems to work pretty good, although you do need to wet the back of it to get it to read good.0

I'm not sure which model mine is, but it is made by sportline. It does come with a strap, but you can take your heart rate by touching the watch too. I know it sends screwy readings to the watch when I am on a machine at the gym. It sends the machine correct readings, but the watch seems to be off for some reason.0

yeah mine is just the wrist watch with the front and back sensor no chest strap, may be the signal it emits dave, I have heard of interference from some machines causing that. Mine has wonky readings if I am swimming with it on.0
