Sweetie thats not dumb or cheesy ... thats what MFP is all about. Building a community of supportive people who pick you up when your down and kick your butt when you need it.
I would strongly advise that you talk to someone about this ... a counselor, a therapist, etc.
I also would tell you to STOP associating food with emotions...
Foods are NOT emotions.... food is fuel for living. Its doesnt make you happy... and it shouldnt cause guilt either.
