I know there are many avid fans of this brand and I was just wondering if anyone else was concerned with the fact that it contains high fructose corn syrup? I've read that this ingredient is very bad for you/diet ? I am really wanting to switch from dannon light and fit to yoplait because of all the yummy flavors, but I am a little hesitant because of the HFCS.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I used to eat Yoplait light every day! it is still my favorite flavored yogurt. But one day I actually read the ingredients and haven't had it since. There is so my HFCS in all of our foods, in a lot that it's hard to control, so I figured that was one that I could actually control. So I switched to Dannon light and Fit...the flavor is different (because there isn't any HFCS), but for the most part I like it a lot better. I can have the same amount for about 1/2 the calories!!
To answer your question...i've had to take a couple nutrion classes and they say that HFCS is horrible for your diet and health...I know people think "it's just sugar" but I think it's worse than sugar. Besides in addition to HFCS they usually have like 5 other ingredients that are sugar! So personally, if I'm going to have that simple carb, I want it as close to natural (fruit) as possible...not chemically altered (HFCS).0 -
WHAT??? I did not know this information!!! I just bought more youplait light!! so Dannon light is really better? But i hate the way it tastes!!... Is there any other type of yogurt that I can try that would be better for me and yummy?0

Just read the ingredients and look for HFCS. I know for a fact yoplait does not have it (and if I'm not mistaken it also has MORE bacteria in it than Yoplait.) I really didn't like dannon at first either...the taste wasn't as good and the texture got to me. But I told myself that it was probably that addiction to HFCS that my body was needing, so I forced myself to eat it for one week. And now I love it. I like to add some either granola or fiber cereal to it, giving it some crunch, which made the texture better.
I love cutting up fruit (apples, strawberries, etc) and using dannon as a fruit dip! HMMMM, yummy! Now I can eat it straight because my body no longer NEEDS that HFCS taste in the yogurt. Remember that not only affects the taste of a product but also the texture.0 -
