Have to say, whenever things feel tough it's always a great boost to look through these forums.
I'm down 15lbs from my target of 45lbs(ish), so thought I'd take the plunge and post up a few progress pictures (and a target picture)
This was me at Christmas 2010 (216lbs), belly overhanging my jeans and shirt buttons being stretched.
Down 15lbs to 201lbs in two months - whilst I'm still carrying a lot of excess blubber, my fitness is vastly improved and as you can see, my old jeans no longer fit
This is my target shape from a picture taken in my early 20's (10 years ago). While I know I won't regain my youth, I certainly hope to regain something close to this shape again.
Thank you to everyone that's helped me so far, I've never been more determined to sort my life out.

Thanks for all the motivation folks.
I can't lie and say it's been easy - but the truth is that exercise and diet combined really do work. I've heard so many of my friends talking about crazy diets (atkins, cabbage soup, etc) and it all seems pointless to me ... Just live a healthy lifestyle and your body finds the right balance.0 -
wow, that target looks like a really low body fat %. Would be quite and accomplishment to get that far. So far you're looking very good. Huge change already, way to go.0
