NO MORE PITY PARTY!!!!

I've spent the last couple of days focusing on my flaws - the stretch marks, the little bit of my thighs that still touch in the middle, and the love handles. Nevermind the fact that you can see my ribs or that I have obvious muscle definition in my arms and legs, or that my collarbones are fairly prominent, or that I actually have visible cheekbones, I see the flaws. I have come so far and logically I know that, but the last couple of days, all I could see are the things I still don't like.
Then one of my brilliant MFP pals (RobinsEgg is amazing!!!) posted this:
This was brilliant and exactly what I needed to hear. It convinced me to bag up my body loathing and toss it on a train to somewhere far, far, far away. So, now I am celebrating the fact that I have visible cheekbones, collarbones, ribs, and arm and leg muscles. I am embracing my 43-32-43 figure (down from 54 Hips - 45.5 Waist - 51 Chest) being grateful that my sturdy German build allows me to carry around my ginormoboobies (fortunately finally shrinking but still huge) without too much trouble, and rejoicing in the fact that I have now lost approximately 60 inches -- yes, that is FIVE FEET -- and nearly 70 pounds from my body since I started this journey!

I see a distinct thread running through many of the conversations today:
SHAME of OUR BODY - I share this too. I feel that I look like the Michelin Tire Man, all Rolls of Fat. I have heard chuckles behind me. I have had to spread out little folding chairs at a wedding function to make room for my big bootie to fit myself without squeezing the next person. I've had to carry handkerchiefs to mop the sweat that just lumbering along causes on my forehead in the summer. And sleeveless clothes? No way, not with the dipples and sags in my upper arms. I also have a blood diseae that causes bruising so even in the summer I'm always trying to find something "fashionable" with long sleeves. HAH!
Well God gave us our body. And he gave us our face. And he doled out to many of us some crippling health problems too. And he's hit us upside the head as we've aged with financial problems too. Its not just about our bodies.
OUR SHAME GOES A LONG WAY. I say lets all drive down to the railway depot, stuff all our shame in a suit case and leave it there for some unsuspecting person to find and open. What a shock for that person to open that suitcase while all these screaming demons come rushing out at him! We can live without our shame now, and replace it with PRIDE. We are SOME REALLY COOL PEOPLE, don't ya think? Here we are, meeting daily, boosting each other up over our personal humps and losing weight at our personal rates. WE ARE VICTORIOUS!!!

First, Thank you so much Robinsegg for reminding us all that we are Gods creation and He loves us no matter what. That we need to be thankful for every moment and when that's hard to dig deep and find it inside.
And Coryida...ROFL about the "ginormoboobies"...that is hilarious! I too have ginormo's and hate them! But, as Robinsegg has reminded us...someone else out there has bigger ones than me so I'm thankful for what I have!!!
Blessed day everyone!

thanks for sharing. This is awesome. We all need to remember how far we have come and look at the possitives. There will always be negatives no matter how small we get , or what great shape we are in. But we can look at how far we have come and keep making mini goals for ourselves to improve.
You should be so proud of yourself you have come so far, and I have no doubt you will achieve your goals0 -
Thank you so much for reposting this and adding your own story! You are so right and I'm very grateful to have you as a MFP friend!0
