    I've been logging it as "aerobics, high impact" - I tend to do higher intensity when I can (deeper knee bends, higher jumps etc) but I just got a HRM so at my next class this saturday I'll see how accurate that really was.

    My sister is a Zumba instructor. I wore my HRM to her class and she wore hers. We are different in height and weight but we both burned between 625-650 calories in 1 hour.

    FYI, you can make your own exercise datalog by clicking on the bottom of the page to make your own, if it's not in the database. I do this with my P90X workouts. Then when I do that particular workout, I can just click to add it to my workout that day.

    Zumba is a great calorie burner and a fun workout (cardio only though). Remember to get some weight lifting in through out the week too!

    When I do Zumba, my HRM says differently almost everyday! So I would recommend you get a HRM for it. But if you are wanting to go by MFP's standards, I'd log it in under dancing.
