Hey everyone,
Going out to dinner tonight (my boss is treating :) ). She knows I'm on a diet and purposely chose a place that's not pasta and cheese (like she normally does). We are going to a nice tapas place...but that probably means BREAD.

I'm a bit concerned about my calorie intake tonight. Any tips?

This is the main menu:

And I'm sure we'll order from this too:

Also, luckily, I still have almost 1200 calories left, because I burned off what I ate today already!

Just enjoy it....I didn't have the opportunity to peruse the menu, but more than likely the breads are of a homemade multigrain variety. They're good for you, so I wouldn't worry too much about the bread...keep the toppings light!

Thanks, you're probably right. The cheese is going to be so tempting! I ate light today and did almost an hour of cardio, so I don't think I can allow myself to feel bad about eating a nice meal.

If its a one off I wouldn't worry too much about going over your calories, its always good to treat yourself every now and then! Since I've started MFP in January I have had my own birthday, my mums and my nans on each of those days I had a day off from strictly dieting (but still managed to keep it fairly healthy by going for vegetables rather than chips with my meal) and then the next day I've gone back to eating within my calories and doing a little more exercise to compensate for it.

It is one night so I agree you could cut yourself a break...I did peak at the Tapas menu, just cause I love to look food menus. Good shrimp and garlic option, spinach and chickpeas, organic mixed greens. Enjoy!!!

Tapas might be one of your best options! You can have a little bit of whatever you'd like to taste without worrying about crazy big portion sizes screwing you up! Enjoy every bite, take your time, stop when you're full :)
