Barilla Whole Grain Thin Spaghetti

Options
I am new to counting calories and measuring things and need help....I am thinking about having spaghetti tonight and do no know how to measure it. One serving is 2 oz. but how do I measure that? Is it 1/2 cup cooked....I do better measuring with things in cups or teaspoons or tablespoons. I do not own a scale. Thanks

i believe that 2 oz uncooked pasta equates to roughly one cup cooked

things like this kept messing me up so much I finally broke down and bought a simple food scale. I measure it out dry or however the box reads, whichI think is 2oz dry/56 grams. It's helped alot with all kinds of measuring.

    (Alton Brown is my hero!):blushing:

It doesn't help though when you have to cook a big pot of dry spagetti for the whole family....then you have to look up "cooked", etc.

try a food scale, they are fun!

I see you already got the answer to measuring your pasta, but you might want to consider a kitchen scale. It's the most accurate way to measure by far!

I have this one and really like it: http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Kitchen-Silver/dp/B001N07KUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301001169&sr=8-1
