I'm trying to look for a good diet. Any suggestion that worked or is working for other males?

A good diet for anyone includes lots of fruits and vegetables ,lean cuts of meat, poultry and fish, sufficient calcium and 8 glasses of water a day minimum.

my boyfriend averages eating 1500 calories a day and manages to lose 3 pounds a week and doesn't exercise (which is not good). He has lost 50 + pounds though and is looking really good.
I tell you that he doesn't exercise because imagine how much better he could be doing if he has been working out this whole time.0 -
Diet's don't work! How about just eating healthy, natural foods and making a lifestyle change? Lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, protein, fiber and lots of water.0

He would definitely need to eat A LOT more calories if he was working out. 1500 is REALLY low for a man.0 -
Don't forget to cut out all the crappy processed foods and high fat/calorie fast food. No soda and little juice if you can help it. Alcohol is a big suprise in calories for many people. I agree too, DIETS don't work. That's how to become a YO-YO!!0

Actually if I eat below 1500 calories my MFP tells me that I am possibly putting my body in starvation mode which I think means I'm losing muscle mass also. I'm pretty careful about getting more than that but I also have diabetes to contend with as well.0
