After all the complaing I do about my weight and desire to get healthier I killed 4 sliced of dominios pizza for lunch and then snagged two more for the commute home, It wasnt even good pizza. It was cold crap!! Then I topped off my culinary trip with a double portion of cheese tortinlli and a dessert of salt and vinegar chips...but I had a diet coke ( like that is really going to make a difference.) Thus the fat sad girl won the battle today and I could use a little help and good smack from mfp.

Tomorrow is a new day.
I would start your day with a good breakfast.
I really like boiled eggs followed by aquick snack, yogurt.
Also, eat every 2 to 3 hours and keep your portions small.
Try to have a cup or two of water before you begin to eat, it will fill you up.0 -
Also, there are certain things that I just can't, can not, eat in moderation. These are: Buffalo Wings, Potato Chips, Pizza.
I stay away from them at all costs because if I have one buffalo wing then my body wants all 8 buffalo wings, KWIM?0 -
Web slap! Get back on your game, dammit! You lost a battle, but not the war!
How was that? :flowerforyou:0 -
Yeah I understand where you are coming from..kind of the opposite way though..I am not eating enough, but dont beat yourself up to bad because that isnt going to get you anywhere other than back to Dominos(I know this from experience) Tomorrow is a new day so start over by eating healthy today..good luck0

i don't feel anyone needs to give you a swift kick or anything. it sound like you have done enough of that to yourself, maybe you deserve it, maybe you don't, i think you are the only one to be the judge of that. we all have our off days. what i wonder most is what triggered the overeating? what happened today to cause this, i don't believe it was just because the pizza was there. there had to be something that set it off, until you figure this out you might possibly keep doing it, ask yourself why you are doing this to yourself. don't you know you are worth more than that. don't tell yourself what a terrible person you are. you are not terrible. look at the positive things about yourself. they are there,0

Don't beat yourself up, we all have days like that!!! Drink a little extra water tomorrow, stay on target exercise and calorie wise, and go from there. One day won't kill you, just don't make it a habit
PS I disagree with squeaktones, I'm the same way, and it's entirely because it's there, lol! (hence why I basically keep no food in the house! If I want something bad I have to make an effort to get it. If it's there, I'll eat till it's gone, lol!)0 -
What I say before I even think about picking up something unhealthy:
"The weight is not going to take itself off"
It's simple. Somehow it just clicks that if I don't want to look like this anymore I actually have to do something about it. Eating disgusting junk is not helping and I won't make progress.0 -
nothing like logging a stellar choices day to stamp the guilt in well....if i ate like this everyday in 5 weeks I'd gain 6 pounds!!! Lucky me.
Thank you all for the advice!! I really appreciate it!0 -
just find out how meny calories you went over and do exerice to match what you over ate .... dont feel sorry for your self... do something about it0

Sounds like MFP already gave you a swift kick in the....... LOL0

I agree with a PP, what triggered the overeating? Get to the source of the problem and resolve that issue. For example, I realized I was an extreme emotional eater. No matter what emotion - happy, sad, angry, anxious - it all made me want to EAT. I replaced my unhealthy habits with habits that supported my new lifestyle - I would read a book to calm down, take a walk or do other exercises to burn fretful energy, call a friend to vent or exclaim my happiness, and even sleep to escape a bad mood.
The next time you are eating something unhealthy, try to take a moment to really TASTE what you are eating. Like the cold, crappy pizza - was that really worth the empty calories and indulgent sodium? Really think about what you are putting in to your body - if it doesn't taste good, why bother? Nowadays, since I've seen so much progress, even if something is delicious I think twice about eating it in excess. I have worked really, REALLY hard to get to where I am, and I am not about to undo all of that!
If I can't ignore a craving, I will PLAN to eat the food and work my day around it so I still stay on target. I can't stop thinking about a fish sandwich from McD's, so I'm eating one tomorrow - BUT I will be staying within my calorie goal, and under on sodium and fat.
And don't be too disappointed or hard on yourself. This is a process, and it gets easier over time! You can and WILL get the hang of it!0 -

No kick from here. Just wanted to say... It sounds to me like your sugars dropped and you HAD to have the carb fix. Try to take your sugars/carbs down... slow or swiftly, whatever is best for you. This sounds so much like me. My mouth used to be watering, I would want to eat more so badly. Taking down the sugar (and the carbs that become sugar) significantly decreased these cravings for me. Not an easy feat.. but if you plan your attack and see it through a few days, I think it will help. Short sacrifice for long term relief.0
