How long to run for?

Hi, Im wanting to burn around 600 calories, how long do I need to run for approx? :ohwell:

Im 5'8 and I weigh 59kg.

    However long it would take you to run 6 miles. It's roughly 100 cals per mile, whether you walk or run them.

    Well, walking and running are close, but not quite the same:

    But as a rough estimate, a 130 pound women would burn about 90-105 (ish) calories per mile running.

    If that's the case, I must be more out of shape than I had thought. :frown: I consistently burn very near 400 calories every time I run a 5K.

    You could experiment with one of the calorie calculators on-line. This one is good:

    The 100 calories per mile is a good guideline, but someone like me that weighs over 200 pounds burns more than that. Also, if I am using a treadmill and keep the incline up a little, it burns more per mile.
