I'd ask for the seared ahi tuna over salad greens (or any fish that you like). Or if you want something hot, ask for your favorite fish to be steamed or grilled with no added oil or butter. Steamed potatoes, grilled asparagus, baked potato are good sides; again ask for no added fats. Mmm raw oysters!

If you don't want to be that "pain in the butt" at the restaurant, just order what you like and watch portions. I think the Cioppino might be a good option; lots of seafood and it's a tomato based broth.

I know what you mean! It can be scary to dine out! You just don't know what they add to those healthy sounding ingredients!

You won't be being a pain to order what you'd like. I order meals not on restaurant menus all the time and always have pleasant waiters and have always ended up with amazing plates of food. Often, the waiters even offer additional suggestions to make it even better while still staying healthy.

I always change up from what is on the menu. As long as you are cool about it, servers usually are too.
  • I'd go for the seared sesame tuna...pak choi...yum
