I've been using this thing for a couple months now and have never posted here...but I'm just about ready to lose my mind...I find myself going on and off diets every other week...I'll have a really good week then mess up one day and end up in a downward spiral...binging...not exercising...and I cant get out of it for a week or two...it's terrible and completely ruins any success I've had...does anyone have any advice to prevent this from happening?! I'd really appreciate any help...
Thanks

I make myself write everything down that I eat in the food diary on here. Then I have to be accountable for what I'm eating. I can see patterns to what I'm eating. I use it religiously!
Something that can help you as well is to just set a goal for a week. Then reward yourself at the end of the week.... Say, your goal is to never go over your net calories every day by 100 or less, do that for a week and then treat yourself to shopping, or a pedicure, or if funds are tight to a movie rental night with low fat yogurt soft-serve. A positive reward for positive behavior.
You'll be less likely to give up the change of eating habit (notice I didn't call it a diet). Diet's don't work! Changing the way you look at food and the way you eat changes your mind and body for the better.

Well first of all congratulations on reaching out for help when you need it! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
You shouldn't look at this as a diet but rather a lifestyle change (hopefully taking diet out will help you) Diets really are just what we eat for our nutrition not a negative thing.
I think a little more information would help...
What are your daily calories, how much you trying to lose at one time, what are you eating, what type of exercise are you trying to do?
You could just be trying to do so much change at one time and having a really hard time.0 -
Start small, record everything and start by making a few better choices a day. It has to be your lifestyle or it wont work.0
