  • I would guess that it's a stress tick, and that although you didn't feel too bad yesterday, subconciously you did, and started twitching again. It should stop soon enough.

    Sorry about the wife thing.
  • thanks mate... yeah me too, i don't think my eyebrow is to pleased either lol

It sounds like you probably need more grief time and "moving on" time from the wicked witch of the west.
If it is still with you in 9 months I would go and see your medical doctor. Until then continue to exercise to relieve stress and let your emotions come to the surface when it is safe to do so. I would also look for a newer and healthier group of friends with whom to have new experiences as well as old friends who are a happy experience for you most of the time. I know this is very personal but I have found solace in a renewed quest for and relationship with God. The non-judgmental cohesion in a house of worship is not a bad place to start. Often the cure for the physical is treatment of the spiritual.
  • hmmm... lost god when the *kitten* hit 5 months ago. My friends are my own, by that i mean they are my group of friends and not hers, she didn't have meny friends apart from her sister, so think my friends are healthy.

I'm not sure if the eyebrow thing is food related. I didn't eat a great deal over the weekend, and did a good bit of exercise...

Thanks for your thoughts mate

Top Remedies For Dealing with Annoying Eye Twitches

Eye twitches are commonly known as Blepharospasm. They can be annoying, but they are generally harmless. Involuntary spasms in the muscles of the eyelid causes eye twitch. Eye twitches often occur randomly and infrequently and will last for a period of a few hours up to a few days. Eye Twitches usually disappear on their own and have no long term side effects, very rarely some serious cases may require surgical treatment. Read more about eye twitches.

Eye twitches often occur randomly and infrequently and will last for a period of a few hours up to a few days. Eye Twitches usually disappear on their own and have no long term side effects, very rarely some serious cases may require surgical treatment.

    What Is Eye Twitch?

Eye twitches are commonly known as Blepharospasm, which is defined as the repetitive and rhythmic contraction of the eyelid muscles (which usually affects both eyes). Eye twitches are also less commonly known as Fasciculation, which is defined as the twitching or continuous movement of muscle fiber groups. Sometimes eye twitch is confused with Nystagmus, which is the jerking or jumping of the eye itself. This is an entirely different condition and an optometrist or ophthalmologist should be able to make a proper diagnosis after a full examination. Simply stated, eye twitches are muscle spasms and, like most muscle spasms, they generally have no long term side effects.

    Why Does My Eye Twitch?

Eye twitches can be triggered by a variety of different factors. Some of the conditions that cause eye twitches are environmental, some are physiological, and some are psychological in nature. Below is a list of some of the more common causes of eye twitch:

    Fatigue or lack of sleep
    Over consumption of caffeine
    Physical or emotional stress
    Anxiety or phobias
Brain damage or other neurological disorders
Associated with temper tantrums (especially in children)
Eye stress associated with extended viewing of the computer screen
    Epilepsy

When Do I Need To Consult A Doctor?

Violent eye twitches may develop into Hemifacial Spasms, which affect the entire side of the face and can make eating and speaking difficult. Eye twitches have also been associated with severe contractions that completely shut the eye and are caused by irritation of the cornea or the membranes that line the eyelids (conjunctiva). Call your physician or optometrist/ophthalmologist if you experience any of the symptoms listed below:

Twitches that cause your eyelids to completely close
Experience redness, swelling, or discharge from the eye
Experience sensitivity to light or vision is blurred
Twitching extends from the eye to other parts of the face
    Twitches are uncomfortable or painful
Twitches increase in frequency and intensity
Twitches do not disappear within a 7 day week
Twitches are accompanied by a fever

It is caused by being tired or uncontrollable desire to flirt, your body is getting into flirt mode. Winking is the easiest way to say, "Hey, are you tired? Cause you've been running in my mind all night long."

My dad and I have facial tics too, his is his right eye, mine's in my lip. It happens when we're agitated, stressed or excited.

I can imagine that the wedding anniversary may have been a point of concern-- if all else fails, you can always just tell people that you suffered nerve damage in the Great War of 97'. It was a dirty job, but somebody had to stop Tara Lipinski from taking over the world.

I could as princess suggest, make it a full blown wink. lol

My doctor told me to drink more water. I did and it stopped. He thought that maybe I was dehydrated from exercise in the heat. It helped

I get them when stressed out. I think I might try Princess's idea and start winking at whoever happens to be around when they strike!

It seems like a certain someone drank quite a lot this weekend, and that will dehydrate in a major way! Maybe that exaggerated it over all the stress of everything else. Hope it goes away...how annoying!

My eye twitches when I'm lacking sleep or drinking too much caffeine, and those usually go hand in hand. Here's to hoping that twitch leaves soon! :drinker:
