i have been logging and working on 1200cals(plus exercise cals) but started p90x last week and have noticed that p90x says to eat more than the basic 1200(my husband worked it out at 1650, plus any cals burned from exercise)

so is this right, should i be eating more...do i follow mfp goals or p90x??? will eating the allowance p90x gives me make me gain weight?(i don't seem to be losing on 1200 anyways)

anyone able to advise??

If you are not losing now, it's likely because you are eating too little anyways. I would definitely go up to the 1650. You are going to need it for P90X.

Really the choice is yours and depends on your goals. P90X is not a weight loss program per se. I (male) did P90X and followed mfp. I didn't do P90X nutrition at all because the calorie count seemed awfully high (I thought) and is based on an average of 600 calories per exercise. I am sure the calories are fine if you are following the diet to the letter, but if not it may be risky to eat that many. Using MFP, I lost 12 lbs during and then 5 fell off right after i stopped. I ate most of my exercise calories back, but did not if I wasn't hungry. I am going to do another round in a week or two.
