Got my Lasik on Friday and I  it! I would do that again in a heartbeat. To anybody who is thinking about doing it- go for it! It is the best thing ever! I had both eyes done and I was in the laser suite for less that 10 minutes! That's how quick it is! I had it done at 11AM and by 5 PM I could see better that I was seeing with my glasses on. It is so great. :drinker:

    Congrats!

I had LASIK in January and my eyes are still 20/15 six months after my surgery. My friends hate me for it. No fears of loosing contacts at the water park last week ... it was great!

I strongly recommend it (although it is surgery and involves risk) and if you have flexible spending through your insurance ... you can pay for it that way! Hey ... any less taxable income is a good thing!

I have been considering it but then it hasn't been around long enough to know the long term affects and that alone scares me. I guess everything has pros and cons and I will have to decide what is best for me. But hope everything stays great with your vision and thanks for the advice.

Congrats! I had mine done 6 years ago, and I still have perfect vision! It's so great! I know you'll continue to be happy with your decision!

Yay! Good for you! My Fiance' wants to get that done but his prescription has to even out for a certain amount of time ....at least that is what he had heard. He just went in for a check this month and his scrip hadn't changed sooooooo....whats the waiting period? Do you know?

WAAAHOOOOO!!! As one who's been wearing glasses now for 16 years, I can't imagine life without them. I've certainly considered it, just kinda scared of the small percentage of operations that go wrong. Glad it all turned out good for you though!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • That's wonderful. My surgery is scheduled for August 21. I let you know how it turns out.

I got my lasik one year ago and it was one if the best decisions that I ever made....

Same thing, 5 minutes on the table and by evening I could see! I would do it again in a hearbeat! I lucked out, my employer at the time paid for half of it.

    Congrats!

Have thought about it seriously, but not sure if I could handle it. I don't like the idea of them doing 'stuff' to my eye ball!!!

Congratulations! I would love to have that done. My medical won't pay for it though and I'm not even sure if I would be eligible for it or not. I don't know what kind of tests they do but I'm pretty much blind anyway. At least blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

Wow! Congrats to you! I'm totally jealous. I've been told that I'm not a candidate, which I absolutely hate (and think about a lot) while I'm at the pool with my kiddos.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

:drinker: To a quick and speedy recovery.

been thinking about t for a while, but never entirely sure it would sort the astigatims i have. If it would then i would certainly think harder about it, i can't bring myself to wear contacts and being able to see when plyaying rugby would be a bonus

(and going to masked balls, that is always a hassle with glasses on )
