I don't want to express my fears to people I actually know, so you are stuck with it. Had my first mammogram yesterday and got a callback to repeat the scan. I know they probably just found a lump of gristle or whatever lives in breasts, but I'm slightly stressed about it. How could my breasts turn on me now, after all I have done for them?

I know it's fine, I just need to express a bit of "what if" concern.

You don't have to respond. I just needed to express myself.

"express myself" - that's funny, because it's about breasts!

Not yet, but I didn't read the pamphlets in the waiting room. I'll hit Home Depot before I go back.

You are right, most of the time it is a shadow, or gristle, or whatever. Come here to vent, and know that we will say a prayer for you. Please do let us know what you find out?

I'm in exactly the same boat, off to see the specialist today as a matter of fact. Had my mammogram last month and they "think" it's a benign cyst but seeing a specialist just to make sure as my Mother died at 55 with breast cancer. I'm sure you'll be OK but can understand your worry as I feel exactly the same xx

I understand where you're coming from. Last year the technician thought they felt a lump while doing the mammogram. They took extra pictures and usually let me know right away. It was well over a week and I called my gynecologist. She found out the results and checked me herself and said that I have what they call cystic breasts and that's what she felt. She said they should've not made me wait to find out the results. It's ridiculous for us to have to worry about it. So good chance it could be the same type breasts I have. Hang in there! You're in our prayers!

I'm just shocked at the possibility of my breasts turning on me. I have nurtured and protected them for their entire lives. They owe me!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your kind words.
  • I had something similar, like a dude version, where I did not know what it was, stress is natural, good luck, I'm sure you are fine:flowerforyou: .
