Last few days I've gon over my calories. So to compensate I have exercised the day afta to burn the extra calories off. Is this ok to do?x

Exercise is always good. You should check out what your daily caloric intake to maintain your weight is vs how much MFP says you need to reduce your caloric intake to achieve a goal weight in a projected time frame. Only time your going to gain is when you consistently exceed the calories it takes to maintain your current weight. Good Luck0

I use the iphone app's weekly total and make sure I don't go over for the week. I'm sure it's OK if it's within a short space of time. This has worked for me.0

It's fine. You need to have a 3500 weekly deficit to burn 1lb of fat so check your weekly total0

just remember that if you start gaining, it takes a lot longer to lose than to gain. Don't let all your hard work be for not.0
