I'm after some help. I am trying to break through a two year plateau, trying to understand what improvements I can make, I am aiming for the 1500 net cals (after exercise) doing mix of strength and cardio.

So I need your help in taking a peak at my food diary and telling me what improvements I could make. I am honest in my diary, so yeah you will see days where it is not great and the odd treat. So pllllllleeeease be gentle.

Thanks

your diary is not open for us to look at. please open it and maybe we can help.
  • The one thing I have learned through the past 8 months is progress comes from challenging your body ,if you do the same exercises all the time your body will adapt to it. In order to not run into the plateau wall you must constantly challenge your body once you start feeling comfortable with what you are doing. Whether it be a change of pace your doing it, change of exercise, or change in reps or taking shorter rest periods, but you have to constantly change it up so you don't fall into the plateau ,once you feel your body is getting used to what your doing, change it up so your uncomfortable doing it.

I looked at 1 weeks worth of your food diary and wonder, are you a vegetarian? I see very little in way of meat, seafood, poultry.
what's worked for me for when I hit a plateau is I take a break from the calories and let loose a little. up the calorie intake for a day. don't go crazy just like 500-700 more of what your normal goal is.

I don't eat red meat or fish, but say once a week will have chicken. Have been adding protein shakes in every so often to get sone additional protein. I've tried different things to shake up metabolism but end up gaining weight. Lol
