Can you get too much protein? What if you go above your recommended dose for the day on a daily basis? Thanks!

MFP defaults to 15% protein which is pretty low, you can up your protein limit if you want to, I put mine to 30% as that puts me with 0.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight, right where I want to be for my activity level / workout routines.
CLick home... goals... change goals... custom and change your settings. I used 40% carbs, 30% protein 30% fat0 -

Hmm, I never thought there would be a thing as too much protein. My Dr told me my body "dumps" protein and I would have to eat the equivalent of 8 steaks a day to make up for the amount it dumps. Being a carb-junky, I never gave protein much thought. I'm trying something different and I think I have mine set as 30/40/30. I think every "body" is different.0

I also put mine at 30%
I am set for 1200 calories a day, so that makes my goal 90 grams of protein, 120 grams of carbs, and 40 grams of fat.0
