Is there anyone who is considered "skinny fat"? I am. Thin, slim throughout the body but just over 30% body fat. They say it's not good. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you workout? Sounds like you need to tone up. My roommate was skinny fat, he was thin but not toned at all so he looked kinda soft.

When you were born, was your birth weight low, ie under 2.5 kg? In that case your pre-disposed, like me. Also, visceral fat may be the most dangerous for you, but it's also the first thing you start losing when your weight comes down, but not much of that is visible.
  • That's me! I'm 5'3", 128 lbs., with no muscle at all. I just started lifting weights today (at the gym with my sister) and I'm so glad I did. Thank goodness everyone at the gym was nice to me and waited for me to slowly lift 30 lbs with my skinny little arms! :blushing: I'm working on it!

Don't belong to a gym, but will buy weights (2 or 5 lbs.). Need an at home program. Any thoughts?
