I have been for a couple of years now, ever since I left the safety of a deadbolt and my parents ADT system. Well my friend and I jsut worked out and she dropped me off, and then like 15 min. later called me and said she went to park at her place and a guy started walking up to her car, so she turned it on and gunned it and he started running the other direction, and she tried to go and park again and saw him hiding in the bushes and then he disappered into the bushes, and now she's freaking out because she doesnt want to go home, but doesnt want to go to the cops.
and I'M freaking out because Ive always been so paraniod about everything and I'm home alone, maybe 5 min. from her. I dont know what to tell her to do, and I dont know how to calm myself I know there's no chance of me sleeping tonight.. and I was supossed to do laundry but I dont want to leave my locked apartment! Ahhhh someone help. i feel like I need to see a doctor for anxiety or something.

Tell her to call the cops... people hiding in bushes.. sounds a bit suspicious to me

If anything, it's good to have a report on file, the police can increase patrols in the neighbourhood
  • I can understand why you're freaked out. Tell her to the call the cops, they may already have a file on the guy and can take him in for something or at least come by and check out her home before she goes in. No shame in that.

you have to tell the cops , maybe the next person wont be as lucky.
  • I told her she should go to the cops and have them follow her home and walk her up to her room, but she wont because she says she doesnt have a good enough description. She hung up with me to call her parents, who are 4-5 states away. I told her to just come here and stay here but she wants to go home, which is understandable, but her roommate is gone for the weekend.
  • she just called me from the police station, said there are a couple cars out patroling the area and they are going to take her home once they see if it's clear. but it still isnt going to help me feel much better. there are such creepy people out there, especially since I'm on a college campus.
