I just purchased JM's 30 Day Shred. I'm very excited to start this. Are her claims of 20 pounds in 30 days true? If not, what's the most you've lost? Does it make the scale go up because of the weights? Also, should I do my elliptical along with this or is this enough? I did the first day, it kicked my butt; but I felt good afterward. Thanks.

I'm about half way through the 30 days. I've missed a couple of days, but on those days I've either participated in my weekly bootcamp or been running hills so I'm still buring ++ calories on those days. So far, I'm totally frustrated. Haven't lost a pound, but this is an ongoing issue for me. I made up my mind at the start that I was going to give it my all - exercise and food wise - for the 30 days and hopefully see some changes. I have had people ask me if I'm losing weight, and I feel like I look a little different, but I haven't seen the scale or the tape measure move. Other people on here have had fantastic luck though, and I'm sure you'll hear from them as well.

I have just finished my first week of it. I am on L1 D9 (level 1 day 9) and i have lost 2.5lbs since starting it. That is a lot for me as my weight has been on a plateau for months through not really trying. My measurements haven't changed yet but i've noticed a change in my arms and can see my muscles starting to change.

I have combined this with running 5k every other day and on non run days walking for 90 mins as well as the 30 DS.

I'm on L2 and just done D3. I haven't shredded on Saturdays and actually had a rest day from exercise then. In the 1st week I lost a lb and gained a lb, but did expect that after reading stuff on these forums. I then started to take my measurements, and I wish I'd done it before I'd started, because I have already lost about 3cm on waist, 5 cm on hips and 2cm on thighs. Weight wise, I've probably lost a couple lb so far, but feel much more toned.

Regarding additional exercise, I guess it's each to their own! During L1 I did 30 min free step, carried on with my weekly zumba class, did some strenuous gardening (which after 10 days of shredding felt like a breeze!). L2 has been a big step up, but I'm planning to do some more gardening today and go for a walk as well. I just sometimes struggle to eat anywhere near all my exercise calories back, so I try and spread the exercise around a little - Tuesdays are fun: I shred, walk 1hr to my zumba class and back and do 1hr zumba - little chance of my eating my calories back that day!
