So how come everyone knows what 'I' should be doing to lose weight?
My god, I was just talking with a family member saying that i'm not seeing a loss and am gonna up my cals and see what happens, and i was handed a weight waters book ffs.
I came to the conclusion the other day, rightly or wrongly that my idea weight is around 15 stone (210 lbs), now all the BMI stuff ive seen say i should be at most 11 Stone (154 lbs). Therefore i think my cals have been based on a lean mass of 11 stone and therefore i'm not eating enough... Just something that accured to me the other day, as i'm not seeing results at the mo i thought i'd give it ago. Tried to explain this to a family member and i get handed a weight watchers book.

I think that weight/weight loss is SO individual and there is no SET 'correct' weight that's universal based on height alone
Everyone carries there weight differently, etc etc
When I came to this site (as much as i LOVE LOVE LOVE it) it was suggested I eat 1290 cals a day
I didn't even try that and started with 1490 cals
I don't really use any of the calculators on this site (BMI or BMR etc etc)
I try to eat a healthy diet, not feel deprived and weight myself once per week to keep myself accountable
If the scale goes up/down slightly...so be it...I keep moving on (I'm trying to maintain since loosing 27 pounds here)

Of course, but it's not going to balloon (think positively!) and then you can tell the weight watchers person that you ate MORE and lost MORE!!!0

Hey Al...You will never see me recommend a WW point system...or the book! Stick with us...we'll all get throught his together!!! And keep us posted and let us know if it works! We gotta stay in the know !0

I'm thinking of upping mine for a bit to see if I can break this plataeu I'm on--I mentioned that to my hubby, who promptly had advice!
"You can't lose weight by eating more! What are you thinking of? You should not eat your exercise calories maybe instead."
I told him if I didn't eat my exercise calories then on days I ride, I would be given my body either negative calories or at most 100 or 200 calories!
Anyway, I'm ignoring him and think I'll try it--scary though--but I'm about to go homocidal here if something doesn't happen soon!0 -

yeah thats exactly it lol. I was thinking of upping last week and was talking to my old man, and he commented that he thought i was eating enough. He doesn't even know what i eat lmao.
