Just looking for some extra support from people who can relate with me. Im a military wife, Luckily my husband is stateside now and isnt deploying again anytime soon. However as a solider he has to go on trips for schools and training. When hes here hes my number 1 supporter, he helps me workout, keeps me motivated. I dont have very many friends where i live its a newer base and i just dont get out much, and of corse no family in a 500 mile radius. So hubby is away for the week for a school and im on my own with our kids. I have anxiety its my first time ive been on my own with both kids longer than a 12 hour work shift. I wanna stay on track im just concered with no help and no time and no support im gonna have an awful week. Trying like heck to think positive about it though. I wanna beleive i can handle it all.

I'm a former military wife, but I'm also a military BRAT (My dad retired a GYSGT in the USMC) and I have lived my entire life surrounded by Marines, I do not know any different. I am a single mom now, so I do know what it's like to not have an actual body there to help out which happends a lot when a spouse is in the service! I'll leave it up to you if you'd like to add me0

I am a military wife, but my hubby is deployed. Unfortunately, we do not have kids at home. All the other I can relate to. I am happy to be your friend and support group in any way I can in short of being there. Besides, you have the hardest part done already.. you're a military wife Just remember to focus on you, the core that will hold everyone else together. When you need a time out, go into a room and just give yourself 10 minutes of YOU time...deep voga breathing and then you are back out there to take on the world... YOU CAN DO IT! :flowerforyou:0

My husband is retired Army now. I, remember, all too well the times being left alone. I think the best thing you can do is just sit down and make a plan or schedule. Otherwise, if you think about it all at once, it's very overwhelming. Plan your day from sun up to sun down. Just don't get anal about it. Be flexible.
One thing, I liked about the military was there were always other wives in the same situation. So, get out to the playgrounds, libraries and other mommy places0 -
Hey there, army wife here with 3 kids. add me if you want to0

I'm the widow of a retired Navy commander, 22 years active duty. I live alone which helps with weight loss, but I do really hate living alone :-). Through Weight Watchers almost 2 years ago, I lost 45 lbs, then gained 15 of it back. Boooooo!!!!! Some of it was due to a medication change, the rest due to portion control problems. I re-joined WW a couple of weeks ago from the regular Points program to their Points Plus program, and I'm still working on it through the old program. I haven't lost any weight yet, but I need and want to. Just feel and look so much better. Food has gotten SO much more expensive due to the cost of oil, so I'd appreciate any non-costly food idea tips from anyone.0

Do you have the space to start a garden...even if you don't, tomatoes and herbs grow well in pots. I grow a lot of herbs in pots. I find herbs and spice to be expensive for what you get
There's a nice pasta recipe from cookinglight.com...search for seared scallops linguine (you can substitute chicken or just make the pasta) The pasta is really good, fresh, easy to make and pretty inexpensive. It makes meals.0
