Triathalon?????

I'm thinking that I really want to do a sprint tri in the fall. I am currently working on the c25k program and I'm a good swimmer but the bike has me kind of freaked out. I'm sure with this kind of training time I should be fine.

I do have questions and was hoping to find someone who's done one.

If you've done a tri what was something that you learned that wasn't in any of the training guides?

What training tips would you give?

    I did my first sprint tri last August (850 meter swin/15 miles bike/5k) and it was awesome! Just read up on the transitions so youre ready to go from event to event quickly. That part was suprising to me, for example, place your bike on an outside row so you can find it easily. Also, when you are training, be sure to train as you get closer to the event with "bricks." This is when you go from one practice event to the next. Like, ride your bike 10 miles, then get off and run 2 miles. You can try to swim a distance, then hop out and get on your bike for several miles. Youll be suprised how tired your legs will be! Also, think about what youre going to wear. Some ppl wear "tri-suits" that you can wear for all 3 events. Its lots of fun, hope that helps! Good Luck!
