Hitting calorie goals

I am having issues reaching my calorie goal. My goal is 1860 or something like that. On a good day I can get around 1600 and after a workout I will be at 1200-1300. Well there are a lot of days that I only eat about 1200-1300 without working out. And I fell bad when I can't work out. What do I need to do? I would like to workout a little everyday. But if I only manage to eat 1200-1300 there are not really any calories to spare to get a good burn in. Any suggestions?

Eating nutrient dense foods will help. Add some almonds, avacado, string cheese, greek yogurt, etc to your meals. Use a little olive oil. These are higher calorie but nutritious foods that will help you hit the calories more easily.

You can try adding more calorie dense foods to your diet, but you should be aware that they generally add more fat. If you're eating things like avocados or nuts it's good fat, but it's still extra fat that will only get stored as fat if it's not burned for energy.

When I first started here I had to start eating 2-3 times the amount of food that I was used to. It took me about a week for my body to get used to eating the right amount. I added a little extra food to each meal and ate a couple of snacks (if I needed to) in order to meet my calorie goal, including eating exercise calories.

Maybe eat higher calorie foods, i.e. cooking with olive oil, eat almonds, avocados, throw in a protein shake, peanut/almond butter with your apple or in a shake. There are a few ideas!
