Tomorrow will be my first day working out in the fitness center. My goal is to work out on 3 pieces of equipment for 30 minutes. This is going to be wonderful and I can't wait to see my body transform.
Can you all give me some exercising tips, this is my first time in the gym for the first time in 10 years.
Looking forward to losing my first 30 lbs., and thank you all for the support and motivation.

Good luck and have fun! Try to do a little walking around first to warm up (don't stretch cold muscles) and make sure to stretch well after your workout...and if you're doing strength training (weights) focus on form and not being fast...0

Pay attention to the monitors - how many calories you burn in a certain amount of time, distances, etc. It's great to be able to see progress on the machines even if the scale doesn't move once in a while.0

I don`t wish to discourage but 1,5 hours is a lot if you have not been working out regularly - start with 15 mins on each piece of equipment and if you only do 2 don`t stress out
mix up your workouts - do one long easy work out - long is relative this is the workout you build up in time each week - this will improve your endurance
do one workout that is medium time but harder effort
do one short workout where you flip between a short period of all out effort ( 30 sec - 2 mins _ and 2 mins to recover - this will improve your stamina and also boosts you metablosm0 -
Good for you and good luck! I just started going to the gym again about a month ago myself...0

Well today I made it to the fitness center and I must saying I was tired but I loved, loved the way that I felt. I was only able to last about 5 minutes on the elliptical machine, my sister gave me some great advice and said that everyday I should add 1 more minute to my elliptical workout so tomorrow (God's will), I will work the elliptical for 1 more minute. I kind of liked walking the elliptical without using my arms, my heart rate did increase to 155. Then I got on the bike and did about 20 - 25 minutes. Being that I walk about a half a mile a day peddling the bike wasn't bad and it was a nice seat with the fan blowing in my face, but my legs did get very tight and tired, which meant I must have been doing something right.
I am going to take my time and just continue to take it slow. I think I will continue to do my lunch time walks and use the fitness center for my elliptical and bike workouts.
To all of those that has conquered not wanting to go and work and, etc. When does working out finally feel good? Also when I got home the first thing I wanted to do was eat. So I grabbed and Apple and the knife. The apple was kind of bruised and beat up but that was the sweetest apple. And I have very little desire to eat food. I think the workout helped !!!
Now my questions was: LoL ... when does working out start to feel good?Tomorrow will be my first day working out in the fitness center. My goal is to work out on 3 pieces of equipment for 30 minutes. This is going to be wonderful and I can't wait to see my body transform.
