The Most Delish Jerk Turkey Burger Recipe
Turkey Burger
100g turkey mince
2 spring onions (scallions) chopped
1.5 teaspoon of jerk seasoning
Wholemeal roll
1 tablespoon lowest fat mayo
Lime
Salad to serve
Salsa
1 tomato diced
1/2 red onion chopped
1 small red chilli finely chopped
small bunch of coriander (cilantro)
Juice of half a lime
Sweet Potato Fries
1 large sweet potato
Small splash of olive oil
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
Heat the oven to 200, peel and chop the sweet potato and place in a roasting tin, drizzle the oil and sprinkle evenly with the smoked paprika. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes.
Mix the turkey, spring onion and jerk seasoning together, spray the pan with a small amount of oil and fry the burgers for 6 minutes a side. Grate lime zest in to the mayo and add a little of the juice, mix and season to taste. Serve the burger with the mayo and salad in the bun. Mix all the salsa ingredients together to serve.
All together you are talking a light weight 512 calories and it tastes sooooo good you would think it was bad for you!
