My name is Cheryl, I'm 48 and by my birthday (November 1st) I want to weigh my age +100 ... so 149 (which is also smack in the middle of my healthy weight range!

I started a community challenge on January 8th and my weigh-in & fitness assessment is April 15th. It is a contest, so I've got to do as well as I can by that date! I've really gotten into exercise and love it. I'd been doing yoga 4-5 days per week, but since early January have been doing 3 days a week of cardio/strength and 2 days of yoga. I've lost 7# and a full size since I started and have been stuck. The fitness director at the club recommend I use myfitnesspal to track my food, which I had only been doing in a haphazard fashion and she was pretty certain I probably wasn't eating enough and not enough of the right things. (yes, I know food journaling is key, but I'd just not done it.) This week, I've stepped it up and the days I'm doing yoga, I'm adding a cardio class too.

For regular days: Calories, MFP tells me 1480/day plus exercise calories, yes? And ... I've read the days before a big weigh-in, limit sodium, drink plenty of water and small, regular meals. Right? Anything else? How many days before?

I didn't get into the challenge to win a contest (I didn't even *know* there was a contest component until about 3 weeks in!!), but now that I am .. well, I want to win if I can!!

Then, I want to continue on winning (by losing and getting in excellent shape plus lowering my overall cholesterol and glucose).

Any help I'd really appreciate!
