Looking for ways to add some fun and excitement to your workout? Here are some tips to get your fun fitness level up in your exercise.
The treadmill is fine for a while. But soon, the constant running will become boring and there are only so many magazines you can read while jogging. The same goes for the eliptical, weight training, or biking. They all give great benefits, but can only hold your attention span for so long before you say "My workouts are boring, so I am going to skip tonight." Here are some tips to jazz up your workout.

Take a friend: Do you usually workout solo? Sometimes all you need to do is have some good laughs and conversation while you're working out to make the time and the sweat fly. You can catch up on your lives, what went on at work or how families are doing while lifting weights or doing some cardio. A workout companion can also help motivate you to workout harder, add a few extra minutes to the treadmill or a few pounds more to the weights. Plus, there is always strength in numbers, so get as many friends together as possible!
Sign up for a class: Most gym or fitness facilities offer classes along side the regular machines and weight rooms. Check out your gym for cycling classes (guaranteed to work up a sweat), fun dance or aerobic classes, kick boxing classes, or ball exercise classes. You will meet new people and work out muscles you forgot you had. The key to getting a great workout and staying fit is to change up your regular routine to target new muscles and get your heart rate up. Trying a new class now and then will give you the change you need and keep you from getting bored.
Take a yoga class: Even though yoga focuses a lot on breathing and mediation, the amount of stretching and strength training you get will provide a great change for a workout. Believe it or not, the meditation will leave you more at peace and is such a difference from cardio and weight lifting you will surely not get bored as you breath and stretch your way through it. A good yoga class once a week could be all the change you need to stay on the fitness track.
Take it outdoors: Especially during the summer months, there is no better way to change up your workout and add some variety than to take your physical activity outside. In the summer go for a jog through the park, play tennis, basketball, baseball or soccer. In the winter you can enjoying ice skating, hockey or skiing and a good jog or walk will refresh you with the cooler air. The change in pace and scenery will do wonders when it comes to keeping your workout routine fresh and exciting.
Remember: It's important to keep up with a regular physical routine. Along with eating the right foods and a exciting workout, you will be on the way to a fit and healthy
