According to MFP my goal is 45g of protien/day....although it went up to 61g today because of my workout....is it a problem if i go over that??? i tend to eat a lot of protein. I haven't gone over with anything else and i still have 700 cals left....just curious if it's bad.

Actually, MFP is pretty low on the protein scale. MFP I think is around 16% from what I remember, it's absolutely safe to go up to around 25% and scale back your carbs to around 50%. If you are doing weight training along with cardio, you can even go higher then that, but it's generally accepted to use the extra protein shortly (about 1 to 2 hours) after you have a weight session.
General rule for weight training is carbs before (about 1 to 2 hours before) and protein after (about 1/2 to 1 hour is ideal) because the body needs fuel to do the routine (carbs) and building blocks to repair the muscle after (protein)0 -
MFP has protein WAY too low. Most of the literature surrounding fat-loss with increased lean mass has protein as THE critical macro-nutrient. For a well-balanced diet aim for 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat. For optimal fat loss, adjust the protein to 55% and fat to 25%. Drink PLENTY of water.0

I always go over my protein as well....and I'm still losing steadily. I figure if the only thing I go over is on protein for the day I'm okay.0

Thank you all for your input. I generally have protein at each meal and one of my snacks usually has protein as well...I just wanted to make sure I wasn't sabbotaging myself before i really got started0
