I am dying without some sweet tea!!! I'm from Virginia and I pretty much grew up only drinking sweet tea  ugh I miss home. Anyway, I was wondering if it's okay to make sweet tea but with Truvia? It's calorie free so I wouldn't think it would count much toward my calories for the day except maybe from the tea itself..has anyone else tried this?

I use Truvia in baking, my coffee. I can't tell the difference and it is no calories. It actually taste a little sweeter than regular sugar. I bake for my kids at my school, and have seen no side effects at all, plus no allergic reactions. I checked it out and compared all three it is the only one that I see that has no other additives or chemicals. The best thing that I do like aslo is that it taste like sugar with no after taste. Give it a try.

I love sweet tea too, I probably don't make it right, being from Colorado, but I put a stevia sugar substitute in it and I love it! I think mine is called Stevia in the Raw, but it's probably close enough to truvia. So don't deprive yourself of something you really love!

Thanks guys! I love Truvia! It's so sweet, I put it in my nasty plain yogurt but I wasn't sure how it would taste with tea. I'll have to see :)
  • Yes, I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. I grew up on Coca Cola; I had to give it up. Artificial sweetners give me migraines, but I was desparate for a replacement. So, I found a sweet tea recipe online, found the conversion chart for truvia/sugar online and made the tea with Truvia. NO HEADACHES and I DON'T MISS COCA COLA AT ALL!!! I love you Truvia!
