Question does working out relax you when hyper , like it gives you energy when tired?
Saturday evening I had extra energy to the point of pacing, felt like I needed to go out and have a couple drinks with some friends, but hat would mean I would have to put on make up and dressed and didn’t feel like making the effort after a hard day of yard work planting bushes and laying six bags of mulch.
So I decided to lift some weights instead. Two eight pound weights doing bicep curls very slowly up and down 15 times for three reps. Then I did 15 lungs per leg while doing the curls with the weights. After this I used one eight pound weight and worked triceps 25 times for three reps. I followed up with squats with no weights and did fifteen times for three reps.
I felt so relaxed and calm after this and had no desire to go out. Is lifting weights calming to the body when felling hyper?

Definitely! so is cardio. It gets all that excess energy out and leaves you pooped and endorphined up
A great way to blow off steam!

It does for me. I was having some sort of anxiety attack the other day, so I went for a run. When I got home after the run, I felt like normal, but glad that I had a workout. It does calm me down when I am feeling nervous/worried.0

Yoga and Pilates relax me, cardio stimulates me0

I'm sure it depends on the person. It definitely gives me a better mood and helps "stabilize" me emotionally; but the endorphin rush I get from both weights and cardio makes me freakin hyper! Lol It's in a good way though, kind of like I can conquer the world.0
