My calorie goal is 1200 calories,I generally don't have a problem eating my exercise calories back needless to say. However lately I have been exercising later in the evening-and they have been around 500 calorie + burns at that! By the time I get home at 8 or 9 (and I have trained myself to generally not eat after 9) there is just know way Im going to eat back 500 calories.
Is this going to be harmful to me?

How much weight are you trying to lose a week on your 1200 calories? I'd think if it's less than 2 pounds and you don't eat everything back, then you'll still be losing a safe amount of weight each week. If you're already aiming to lose 2 pounds a week, try to make up most of the calories- drinking milk is an easy way to get an extra 100-200. Good luck!

I would suggest upping your calorie goal to accomodate your calorie burns. Consuming less than 1200 net calories a day doesn't seem like the healthiest route. 1200 calories a day works for some, not all body types. I'm a bigger girl (5'9' /170lbs) so I doubt 1200 would work for me as it may for you. But because I'm active everyday, I increased my calorie goal to 1400 or so, to accomodate for my workouts. I want to ensure my body's getting what it needs to stay strong and healthy... my weight loss is slow, but steady. Play around with it a little to find out what works for you!

you don't have to wait until after you exercise to actually eat the calories. If you know about how many you're going to burn then just work it into your daily meals (as long as you know you're going to workout later and burn it off).

Thanks everyone. Thats the other issue I have is my motivation varies and sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't,my routine changes from week to week.
I'm hoping when I start my 30 day shred things will get a little more scheduled.
